About this sampled check
No sign-up needed. Results can take around a minute, or longer for rendered checks. We check the homepage, up to two linked contact/service pages and twelve internal link targets. We compare sampled-page metadata, inspect indexing instructions and up to three same-site XML sitemap files, and request mobile and desktop Google Lighthouse tests for the homepage when available. A bounded Browserless snapshot also checks two emulated phone widths when capacity is available. Full usability, enquiry delivery, rankings and reviews need separate checks.

Section scores: 8–10 Looking good (green) · 5–7.9 Needs attention (amber) · 0–4.9 Needs improvement (red). Grey means unable to assess. Each score explains its scope; unavailable checks are excluded. The website check score combines available measurements; at least 70% of the weighted assessment must complete.
Website check score
How this score is calculated
Loading speed 30%, page titles, headings and search-access checks 25%, fitting a phone screen 20%, ease of reading and use 15%, checked website links 10%. Mobile and desktop speed and accessibility each contribute half of their category. Unavailable measurements are excluded and the remaining weights adjusted. At least 70% weighted coverage is required. A high score applies only to these limited checks. Google customer ratings and email settings are separate.
Check completion
What looks good in this sample
What to fix first
Start here: these are the main findings worth reviewing first. Check each one on your live website before deciding what to change.
Up to three supported review topics in a suggested order. This is not a severity score or a prediction of lost enquiries.
Save a completed scan, make your changes, then scan again in this browser. We compare matching checks only. Saving replaces the previous comparison. Scores, the website address and test date stay in this browser until you remove them; they are not sent with your email report.

Homepage observations
Your website preview
This is a picture of how the homepage appeared in our phone test. Use it to spot anything that looks out of place.
Waiting for the phone snapshot…
A limited 390 px phone snapshot of the public homepage. Missing assets or consent banners may affect its appearance. This is not a full usability check.
Homepage points to review
These checks look for basic information and contact options on your main page, such as a clear heading and ways to get in touch. Something not found here may still appear elsewhere on your site.
Still untested
Enquiry form validation and delivery have not been tested. A form in the HTML does not confirm that an enquiry reaches the business. Full mobile navigation and usability also need a live check.
Your pages and website links
We open a few pages and links within your website to look for missing pages. HTTP 404 or 410 means a page was not found or has been removed. A page that opens can still need a closer check.
Waiting for additional page checks…
This is a small sample of linked pages, not a whole-site crawl. A successful HTTP response does not prove that a page works correctly. External links, query URLs and form submissions are not checked.
Google Business Profile
This is the business listing customers may see on Google Search and Maps. You can try to find and confirm the right listing here. If we cannot confirm it, that does not mean your business is missing from Google.
Optional UK profile lookup. Confirm the business or branch before its rating and review count are included. Check this before requesting your report if you want these observations included.
No profile lookup requested.
Have the business’s Google Maps link?
If the name search did not find a reliable match, paste the correct business or branch’s Google Maps share link. This starts one separate lookup within the existing daily limit. Website and identity checks still apply.
How your website fits a phone screen
We try the homepage at two phone-sized screen widths, looking for content spilling sideways, small buttons and a menu that opens. This is a small automated sample; it does not test every phone or every tap.
Waiting for the rendered phone check…
Retrying uses the existing request limits and may reuse a recent result.
Captured homepage and bounded assets at two emulated widths, not a real-device or full usability audit. Blocking, consent banners and incomplete assets can limit results. Forms and customer journeys are not submitted or completed.
Page information and search access
SEO means helping search engines understand your website. We check page titles, descriptions and instructions about which pages search engines may include. These basics do not tell us whether Google has listed your pages or where they rank.
Waiting for sampled-page SEO checks…
All SEO observations
These checks compare only assessed pages. Matching metadata may be intentional. Sitemap inclusion and the absence of noindex do not establish Google indexing or rankings.
Loading speed
This estimates how quickly your homepage loads in Google’s simulated phone and computer tests. Higher speed scores are better for that test, but results can vary. Suggested time savings are estimates and should not be added together.
Waiting for Lighthouse measurements…
Retrying uses the existing request limits and may reuse recent results.
These are Lighthouse lab test results and can vary between runs. They are separate from real-user Core Web Vitals. They do not confirm the full mobile layout or that enquiries reach your inbox.
Your business email protection
These are public settings for your website or business email address. MX shows where incoming email is directed; SPF lists allowed senders; DMARC tells receiving services how to handle messages that fail identity checks. These checks do not prove your emails reach the inbox.
Waiting for DNS observations…
Review these domain observations with SenderShield. Check the domain below matches the one used for your business email.
Counts and declarations from the fetched homepage can help guide a closer review. A missing homepage item may exist on another page or be rendered by JavaScript.

What we check on your website
Review your website’s search basics, speed, phone layout, contact options and business email settings in one place. Read the results without signing up or giving an email address.
Ticks show what the tool can check, not a pass for your website. Some checks depend on site access and service availability. Your results show which checks completed, were limited or were unavailable.
Homepage & contact options
✓Main headings and basic homepage information.
✓Phone, email, WhatsApp and recognised action links found in the page code.
✓Image descriptions and labels on sampled homepage form controls.
These checks read the returned page code; they do not send a test enquiry.
Important pages & internal links
✓Up to two additional linked contact or service pages.
✓Up to twelve unique internal link targets, including pages returning “not found” or “removed”.
A small sample of your website, rather than a whole-site crawl.
SEO & search foundations
✓Page titles, descriptions and repeated metadata across assessed pages.
✓Heading structure and declared preferred page addresses (canonical links).
✓Instructions that may tell search engines not to include a page.
✓robots.txt and up to three same-site XML sitemap files.
✓Declared structured-data types: machine-readable labels found on the homepage, without full schema validation.
These checks do not confirm Google indexing or search rankings.
Mobile & desktop loading speed
✓Google Lighthouse homepage speed tests for phone and computer setups.
✓Homepage performance score and main-content loading time.
✓Selected suggestions such as image delivery and repeat-visit caching.
Available when the speed service can complete the test. Lab results and estimates can vary.
Readability & accessibility
✓Selected automated Lighthouse checks, such as text contrast.
✓Available findings about headings, names and labels that may make the page harder to use.
Automated checks cover only part of making a website easy to read and use; keyboard use and assistive technology need manual testing.
Phone layout & website preview
✓Captured homepage layout at 360 px and 390 px phone widths.
✓Sampled sideways overflow, small controls and controls obscured at their centre.
✓A phone preview image when returned, plus one recognised menu-opening test when possible.
A limited snapshot, subject to capture availability. It does not test every device, link or customer journey.
Business email settings
✓Public MX records showing where incoming email is directed.
✓The same public SPF and DMARC lookup service and indicative scoring rules used by SenderShield.
Use your business email domain if it differs from your website. DKIM and inbox delivery are not verified.
Google Business Profile lookup
Optional lookup
✓An optional UK search or supported Google Maps profile-link lookup.
✓Rating and review total included only after you confirm a matching business or branch.
Optional and limited: coverage is incomplete, particularly for businesses that travel to customers. An unconfirmed result does not mean a listing is missing.
Clear findings and a next step
When supported findings are available, your results suggest up to three topics to review first, with evidence, dates and explanations. You can request an emailed copy or ask us for a quote. A flagged finding does not mean you need a new website.
Enquiry form validation and inbox delivery, complete mobile navigation, full accessibility, security testing and whether visitors become customers need separate checks. This scan does not confirm Google indexing or rankings, audit every page or establish ownership of a business profile.
Practical website advice
Understand what could be holding your website back
Start with the question that matters to your business, then use the free checker to gather a useful sample of evidence.
Yes. You can run the check and view its results without signing up or providing payment details. An email is needed only if you ask for an emailed report or a reply about work.
How long does it take?
Results usually begin with the homepage observations. The separate checks can take around a minute or longer, depending on provider availability and the website. Unavailable results are labelled rather than treated as a pass or failure.
Does it check my entire website?
No. It checks the homepage and a small sample of linked pages and internal targets. Speed tests cover the homepage. External links, form submissions, private pages and complete customer journeys are not checked.
Does a high score mean my website is perfect?
No. A Lighthouse score describes a particular lab test, and different checks answer different questions. Your website may still need a manual review even when no priorities are listed.
Can it check my Google Business Profile?
An optional UK profile lookup may be available after the core scan. A business or branch must be confirmed before its rating and review total are included. Provider coverage is limited, including for service-area businesses. An unconfirmed result does not establish that a profile is missing.
Will running a scan improve my Google ranking?
The scan produces observations; it does not change your website or submit it to Google. Any improvements need to be reviewed and implemented separately. We do not promise a ranking increase.
Can Gold Oak Digital fix the findings?
You can request help with focused improvements, discuss a website rebuild or ask about ongoing support. We review the evidence and agree scope and price before work starts. A flagged finding alone does not mean you need a rebuild.
We fetch the public homepage, selected linked contact/service pages, robots.txt, up to three XML sitemap files and a limited sample of internal links. We share the homepage address with Google PageSpeed Insights for speed tests. A public homepage and limited asset bundle may also be sent to Browserless for a rendered phone snapshot and preview. The email domain is sent to Google Public DNS. Private operational counters measure scans, reports and scans generating an enquiry without visitor identifiers in the counter records. Optional Google Analytics measures use only after you accept analytics. You can change that choice using Analytics settings; it is separate from requesting help or marketing emails. An essential session cookie keeps your checks and reports associated with this browser; request limits help protect the service. Email is only required if you ask for a report. An optional email entered on the electrician page stays in this browser tab to prefill the report request. It is removed from temporary storage when the checker receives it; entries older than ten minutes are ignored. Reports are sent through Google Workspace. Optional help and service-email choices are separate. Privacy and retention details.
Promotion links can include fixed labels such as email, Facebook or a guide topic. With your analytics consent, we use these labels to measure visits, completed scans and help requests. Arbitrary URL parameters, scanned domains and contact details are not included in Analytics events. Labels can pass between pages through links; they are not saved in browser storage.
